Your guide will be Jaap Rameijer, owner of the chambre d`hote Les Labadous and, among other things, auteurs of 3 books about the area of Rennes-le-Chateau.

ACCOMODATION

Les Labadous, within sight of the village Rennes-le-Chateau (the Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, the Da Vinci Code). The chambre d`hote is situated in a beautiful green valley, which breathes peace and quiet. The accommodation is comfortable and the service very friendly, a home away from home. All the rooms have private bathrooms, as do the studio. Everybody can make use of the magnificent large garden bordered by a stream. The large communal living room, decorated with original works of art, antiques and books, with its open fireplace, is the ideal way to unwind from your day’s activities.

DAYTRIPS TO CHOOSE FROM

• Tour Magdalene Rennes le Chateau: either by foot or by car (beautiful walk of 20 minutes from Les Labadous), guided visits to the  Church, the Domaine of Sauniere, the Tour Magdalena, the field of Elisabeth van Buren and the Aven Cave;
• Tour East: to the Gorges de Galamus with the Hermitage, St. Paul de Fenouillet, Cucugne with the Maria Enceinte (pregnant Mary), Peyrepertuse and Queribus. Picnic lunch included;
• Tour West: through Puivert to the Notre Dame val d´Amour in Belesta, the Montsegur, Roquetaillade, the rock church of Vals, Foix with the special Cathedrale St. Volusain and Balou with the special Cave of Maria Magdalena;
• Tour North: to Lastours and Minerve, to the famous Caunes de Minervois, to the Notre Dame du Cros with statues of Maria Magdalena and the Sacred well;
• Tour Cathar Castles in the West: with the initiation caves and the Sacred mountain of the Cathars. Can be combined with visit to the Grotte (cave) de Niaux with the church of Sabarthez, Mont Real de Sos, the Grail Castle and the stone of SEM.
• Tour to special Churches: like the Church of St Martin in Limoux, the Notre Dame de Marceille, the church of Mont Real. Then Mirepoix with its church and beautiful statues and Vals with the church in the mountain. Ending with a visit to Balou with the statue of Maria Magdalena and Foix with the famous Cathedrale of St. Volusien. Tour to St Marie de la Mer (25 euro extra due to costs of toll way).

GENERAL CONDITIONS

• this package can be booked from March to December;
• the accommodation is based on availability. If the accommodation is fully booked, we will make sure a good alternative is available;
• this package can be booked individually, but a minimum of 2 people is required;
• the down payment is 30%, to be paid upon booking. The rest of the amount needs to be paid before arrival, unless otherwise agreed upon;
• the down payment is refundable up to two months before the day of arrival, after that time the down payment is nonrefundable.
